Air fryer coconut shrimp recipes are simple and so quick to make and they are just as delicious, if not much better, than some of your preferred restaurant appetizers.

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup panko bread crumbs
  • 12 ounces uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened flaked coconut
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, divided
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • 1 serrano chile, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • cooking spray

  1. 1 Stir the flour and pepper together in a shallow dish. Get a second shallow dish and beat the eggs lightly in it. Also, get a third shallow dish and stir the coconut and panko together in it. Dredge each shrimp in flour mix while holding them by the tail, and shake off excesses. The floured shrimp can then be dipped in egg, and excesses are allowed to drip off. Lastly, dredge in coconut mixture, pressing it to adhere. And put on a plate. Then coat the shrimp very well using cooking spray.
  2. 2 Air fryer needs to be preheated to 400 degreee F (200 degree C). Put 1/2 the shrimp in the air fryer and cook for about 3 minutes. Then turn the shrimp over and continue the cooking for another 3 minutes until golden. Season it with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Repeat these steps with the remaining shrimps.
  3. 3 Mix together honey, serrano chile, and lime juice in a small bowl for the dip.
  4. 4 Finally, sprinkle the fried shrimp with cilantro, then the dip is ready to be served.
